Maple Sap Harvest 2010: Maple Syrup in a few days!

Watch the sap come out of our first tap of the year. The kids drink it right out of the tree, it tastes like slightly sweetened water before you boil it down. We get about 20 gallons of sap per year out of 4 trees, which boils down to about a gallon or so of maple syrup.
